Stress And Infertility

It is no-one’s fault but fertility treatment does not always work the first time and as a consequence, it may be necesssary to have a break to recover emotionally if you are considering trying again. Unfortunately, there could be any number of reasons for infertility and these require the diagnosis of a doctor. When couples firstly decide to confer with a specialist for infertility treatment, there are numerous questions that they would like answers to right away; they want to know who has the problem. In the USA, infertility has become a major social problem with estimates indicating that approximately one in nine couples have no children because of the problem.

Normally, most couples will wait for year and if the woman hasn?t been able to conceive after that time an appointment will be made to see the doctor and both partners will have a full medical to try and find the reason for the infertility.

Unfortunately, many older women listen to the wrong advice and often get into a mental mindset where they fully believe they will not conceive because of their age. It is often this mental block that sabotages any attempts for the couple to cure their infertility problem.

Stress And Infertility...

There are occasions where women who have already had one child find they cannot get pregnant again even after trying for a year and this is called Secondary Infertility. A common problem for men experiencing infertility has to do with the sperm itself. This is often caused by high levels of oxidative stress and it creates a problem with the sperm quality. Clinical research suggests that by reducing this oxidative stress then the situation can be reversed and an improvement in the sperm quality will be seen.

Although you may undertaking other treatment for infertility, it won?t hurt to start taking essential vitamins and minerals as a natural remedy for infertility because it won?t harm your current treatment and having a healthy body can only improve your chances of fertility. Another aspect to this is the cost, as staying healthy and improving your chances of fertility with vitamins and other supplements compared to that of infertility treatment, and medical procedures, is low in contrast. If your infertility problem is stress related you may want to try acupuncture which helps the release of endorphins and other chemicals that help reduce stress.

Fertility treatment isn?t always covered by your medical insurance although you could claim that it is a necessary and legitimate medical procedure. If however, you are not covered under your policy, infertility treatment is tax-deductible.
