Gynocomastia And Breast Implants

Nowadays cosmetic surgeons can change almost anything about the way we look but more than other type of physical enhancement for a woman, it is improving the size and shape of their breast that is almost always the first to be considered. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with being self critical of your appearance but when it affects your self-esteem and a relatively routine procedure will change this then what woman is going to refuse a breast augmentation operation.

Breast surgery has many names but generally all meaning the same type of procedure where the woman?s breast has the shape and size altered in a procedure that takes no longer than one and a half hours under a general anesthetic. There are two types of implant and two places where the cosmetic surgeon will make the incision; either below the breast or at the edge of the areola.

The most common type of implant is made from silicone and the second most common element on the planet, which provides the breast with a natural feel. Used in other types of implants such as the face and artificial joints, silicone is a naturally occurring element found in sand and rock for example it has been give the approval for use by the Federal Drug Administration.

Saline breast implants contain saline as its filler material and unlike silicone, is considered to be completely safe, this is because saline is a salt-water solution that is similar to the fluid that makes up the majority of the human body. Fortunately, there is almost no difference in the effect that both these types of implant can provide.

Silicone has come under scrutiny by certain groups owing to a number of incidents where the sack has broken and the problems that silicone leaking into the bloodstream and body may cause. This is a subject that any person, male or female, having an implant must face whether it is silicone or saline.

The manufacturers make these implants as resilient as possible whilst retaining some sense of reality for the wearer but the concerns about silicone entering the bloodstream is a real concern. Of course this is not a problem if a saline implant were to deflate as the body would be able to absorb the harmless fluid easily.

Cosmetic breast enlargement surgery, like any surgery, has risks associated with it but because cosmetic breast enlargement surgery is now considered a routine cosmetic procedure, the risks have been largely minimized. The best way to find out if breast surgery is for you is to speak to other women that have had the procedure.

This can help you to know what to expect before, during, and after cosmetic breast enlargement surgery and can make all the difference in a successful outcome.
