To Reduce Cellulite

Cellulite is a term used to describe the chain of wrinkled fat cells and subcutaneous connective tissue beneath the skin and which seems to be more prevalent in women and accumulates more in the lower half of the body. Most women carry excess fats in thighs and buttocks, but cellulite is not confined to the overweight as it is in actuality, the lumpy substance that looks more like cottage cheese that forms beneath the skin.

As the collection of fats push against the connective tissue, it tends to cause the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and visually look lumpy; giving you what is referred to as cellulite. After many years of research, scientists still cannot determine the exact cause of cellulite or why some are affected more than others but there may be some connection between toxins that enter the body and how certain fat cells store them.

Cellulite is comes naturally with aging and similar to wrinkles that form in the face, it is actually the result of lower levels of collagen and elastin in the skin. Women are more prone to hormonal imbalances as they age and the fat found in their thighs and buttocks where the cellulite forms is different to the fat in other areas, unlike men who rarely suffer with this condition.

To Reduce Cellulite...

Even women who do not appear to have cellulites may have them and sometimes this is visible when the skin is compressed as in the case of squatting or when it is pinched between the thumb and forefinger; however as most women suffer with at some stage it seems to be a perfectly normal condition. Although it is not know what causes cellulites, some factors seem to contribute to its build up including age, sex, extra fat carried and skin thickness all seem to aid the formation.

As the reasons for cellulites formation is still a mystery, no complete treatment has been devised to rid the condition from people who suffer with is badly even though there are many cellulite creams that claim to rid someone of it. One method that hides the cellulite quite well by puffing the skin is deep massage and an increasing number of clinics are now offering this therapy.

Another technique used to remove cellulite, but not that successfully, is liposuction which is used to remove excess fat in the body but a method called mesotherapy which injects chemicals into the fat cells is still too expensive for most people. Only temporary relief can be gained from both these procedures and liposuction despite its success at removing deep fat from large areas of the body, is not designed for the fats close to the surface as in the case of cellulite.

Unfortunately at the moment the isn?t a magic formula for cellulite removal and it may be some time before it is found although some companies claim that cellulite removal cream is effective but this seems to be better at hiding the effects. Many people believe that the only realistic way to reduce the amount of cellulite a person has is to follow a controlled diet plan and exercise regularly which will gradually burn off much of the body fat including that found in the tissues of the thighs and buttocks.

If this is also followed by the adoption of drinking plenty of fresh water every day; unwanted toxins which can help in the formation of cellulite in the tissue are gradually removed.
