Reduction Of Cellulite

Beneath the skin, especially in the lower half of the body is a large number of fat cells that are just under the skin and form those orange peel type effects everyone knows as cellulite. Most women carry excess fats in thighs and buttocks, but cellulite is not confined to the overweight as it is in actuality, the lumpy substance that looks more like cottage cheese that forms beneath the skin.

As the collection of fats push against the connective tissue, it tends to cause the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and visually look lumpy; giving you what is referred to as cellulite. In reality, nobody knows the real reason why some people accumulate cellulite and not others, but there are some factors that health experts are considering such as the structure of the fat cells or toxins that enter the body.

Two components of skin wrinkles that decrease with age are elastin and collagen, both of which may be responsible for the increase of cellulite as women age. Women are more prone to hormonal imbalances as they age and the fat found in their thighs and buttocks where the cellulite forms is different to the fat in other areas, unlike men who rarely suffer with this condition.

Reduction Of Cellulite...

Often the cellulite goes unnoticed and it is only when a person?s muscles are compressed or the skin is pinched that it can be seen and felt but women should not feel badly about having cellulite as most women suffer with it to a greater or lesser degree. After a great deal of research, certain conditions do help with the formation and retention of cellulites like the age of the person, their gender, how thick their skin is and the amount of extra fat they carry.

As medical science cannot prove conclusively what causes cellulite, it makes it difficult creating a cure for it even though a number have been tried including cellulite burning creams. A large number of cosmetic clinics are now offering a massage service which they say rids the cellulite but it in fact hides it by puffing up the skin in the areas affected.

Other treatments involve liposuction (to remove fats) and mesotheraphy (injection of drugs into cellulite) which is expensive and out of reach of the majority of women. The problem is liposuction is not designed for removing this type of fat but for deeper fat and not that stuck in connective tissue so cannot claim to be a best treatment fro the condition.

Whilst the creams that claim to burn the cellulite away may not be very successful, the latest generation is designed to hide the cellulites although once again this is a temporary measure. It can only be reduced as part of an overall weight reduction program through adopting a healthy eating and living plan, together with increasing exercise, so that body fat is reduced rather than connective tissues.

In addition, increasing the intake of water will help cleanse the system and flush out damaging toxins plus smokers should stop smoking or at least reduce it which will also be beneficial as smoking impacts negatively on the capillaries in the skin and reducing stress will help lower the level of damaging toxins too.
