Laser Cellulite ? Read This First

Cellulites are fat tissues found in certain areas of the body, mainly, but not exclusively, the thighs, abdominal area and buttocks in women. Men can have cellulites too although they are usually whiter or several shades lighter than their normal skin color. A person with good circulation will have an even and smooth layer of skin but in a person with cellulites, fats become stored, along with other toxin, under the skin when under normal circumstances they would be flushed out. These tissues harden and thicken, producing cellulites, bumpy lines in the skin often referred to as the ?orange peel? effect.

There are many factors involved in how the cellulites will appear on any given individual as their weight, lifestyle and also their genetics all play an important role. Having said that even active women can get cellulite and it can be found even in the muscles of fit individuals, including dancers and athletes because there are different types of cellulites so being overweight is only one reason for having the problem. It?s the hard or solid cellulites that cause problems and are hard to remove as they are attached directly to the muscles. Soft cellulites, however, are much more obvious and may even appear to sag from the skin surface and whist they occur in larger, muscle areas, they are usually easily removed.

It is women who suffer the most from cellulite and this can start anytime after their 14th birthday and will usually get worse with age. The contraceptive pill has been linked with acquiring cellulites, as has giving birth and suffering from an injury.

Exercise and diet are still almost uniformly believed to be the best way to eradicate cellulites because exercise is particularly effective at improving the circulation and usually helps reduce the appearance of the cellulites. Whilst exercise is good, it works better when working in conjunction with a detoxifying diet which should include plenty of fruits and vegetables. Coffee and soft drinks should be avoided where possible but wholegrain foods are definitely recommended.

It is believed by some that spicy foods may contribute much in the appearance of cellulites but so far this appears to be untested and so not proved. The same cannot be said for those other two toxin laden commodities, alcohol and smoking which should be avoided. Although cellulites are not necessarily formed by a high fat diet fat is difficult to flush out of the system and can contribute to the cellulites formation so a low-fat diet is preferable.

Although they cannot completely get rid of cellulites, cellulite creams are quite successful in treating and hiding cellulite. The creams work by making the skin more elastic and contain alpha-hydroxyl acid which doesn?t actually remove the cellulite but helps to hide it. Water, whether drunk or in therapy form is good for the skin as it removes toxins and fats from the system, improving the circulation and digestion, effectively rendering the cellulites less visible.
