Fighting Cellulite
Generally seen in the lower half of the body, i.e. legs and buttocks, cellulite is the condition where the skin appears to have that orange peel affect in certain areas. Do not be fooled into thinking that cellulite is a condition in the province of women who are overweight as most women carry additional fat anyway but women who are naturally slim can also suffer with cellulite.
Fat beneath the surface of the skin pushes against connective tissue causing it to give that dimpled look referred to as cellulite. It may still be some time before medical science arrives at a definitive reason for why some people are more prone to cellulites than others but it may have something to do with how toxins are held in the cells of some people.
One thing is for certain though ad that is cellulite increases with age which is partly due to the reduction of collagen and elastin in the system which is why we tend to have more wrinkles as we get older. Cellulites is classified as a problem caused by hormones and is why men rarely suffer with the condition as fat in their body is consistent throughout.
Fighting Cellulite...
Even women who do not appear to have cellulites may have them and sometimes this is visible when the skin is compressed as in the case of squatting or when it is pinched between the thumb and forefinger; however as most women suffer with at some stage it seems to be a perfectly normal condition. After a great deal of research, certain conditions do help with the formation and retention of cellulites like the age of the person, their gender, how thick their skin is and the amount of extra fat they carry.
There are still no conclusive findings that can pinpoint the cause of cellulite build-up but one thing for sure is that technology has not yet devised a one- time-cure-all? miracle potion, treatment or medicine that can easily eradicate cellulites completely. Massage has been found to help hide the indications of cellulite even though it cannot remove it; but is does reduce it?s visibility for a temporary period and is available from some beauty clinics.
Liposuction is sometimes used to remove fats generally from the body and can be attempted for cellulite as well but the use of drugs injected into the cellulite to remove it is costly and out of reach for most women. However, these are only temporary measures so do not provide permanent relief and liposuction is really only efficient for deeper based fats and not those close to the surface as with cellulites.
Whilst the creams that claim to burn the cellulite away may not be very successful, the latest generation is designed to hide the cellulites although once again this is a temporary measure. Many people believe that the only realistic way to reduce the amount of cellulite a person has is to follow a controlled diet plan and exercise regularly which will gradually burn off much of the body fat including that found in the tissues of the thighs and buttocks.
Water too is useful as it has the effect of flushing out toxins that accumulate and are though to be partly responsible in addition to smokers to quit or reduce their smoking which is an effective way for toxins to enter the body.
