Cellulite On Thighs

Cellulite is a term used to describe the chain of wrinkled fat cells and subcutaneous connective tissue beneath the skin and which seems to be more prevalent in women and accumulates more in the lower half of the body. Although additional fat is normal in women, this is not just a condition that is exclusive to overweight women and the cottage cheese look can affect slim women as well.

Fat beneath the surface of the skin pushes against connective tissue causing it to give that dimpled look referred to as cellulite. The real cause of cellulite is unknown so is the reasons why some women are more prone to suffering with it than others but scientists believe that it could be due to the way the cells are structured beneath the skin.

One thing is certain tough and that is as a persons age increases, the amount of cellulite increases also in the same way that wrinkles also form which is probably due to the reduction of the two components that keep the skin looking young; collagen and elastin. It is classified as a hormonal imbalance experienced by women and seldom appears on males as normally fat stored in the thighs and buttock is the same as fat stored all over the body so no difference is observed.

Cellulite On Thighs...

The presence of cellulite is not always prominent, unless one tries to pinch the upper skin of one’s thigh; should it feel lumpy then you most certainly have it but a woman should not feel bad about having cellulite, since most women have the this condition. Many factors make up the build-up of cellulites which range from the sex of the person to their age, genetic make-up, skin type, skin thickness all have a part to play in its formation.

As the reasons for cellulites formation is still a mystery, no complete treatment has been devised to rid the condition from people who suffer with is badly even though there are many cellulite creams that claim to rid someone of it. A large number of cosmetic clinics are now offering a massage service which they say rids the cellulite but it in fact hides it by puffing up the skin in the areas affected.

Perhaps the most drastic is liposuction where fat is literally sucked from the body or the more expensive procedure of injecting certain chemicals in a process called mesotherapy. The problem is liposuction is not designed for removing this type of fat but for deeper fat and not that stuck in connective tissue so cannot claim to be a best treatment fro the condition.

Unfortunately at the moment the isn?t a magic formula for cellulite removal and it may be some time before it is found although some companies claim that cellulite removal cream is effective but this seems to be better at hiding the effects. The most successful regimes so far are to adopt regular exercise, a good nutritious low-fat diet plan and reduce extra weight where possible.

In addition, increasing the intake of water will help cleanse the system and flush out damaging toxins plus smokers should stop smoking or at least reduce it which will also be beneficial as smoking impacts negatively on the capillaries in the skin and reducing stress will help lower the level of damaging toxins too.
