Anti Cellulite Diet

Tissues containing fat, usually situated on the backs of the thighs, stomach and buttocks are called cellulites and are mainly found in women. Men can have cellulites too although they are usually whiter or several shades lighter than their normal skin color. When there is fluid in the layers of skin, it becomes a problem because stored fats and other toxins become trapped and do not get flushed out unlike a person with good circulation who will have smooth skin. The tissues with the stored fats and toxins become hard over time producing the bumpy ?orange peel? effect called cellulites.

The appearance of the cellulites will depend upon each person?s genetics, their lifestyle and the weight of the individual, all of which are factors in cellulite formation. Having said that even active women can get cellulite and it can be found even in the muscles of fit individuals, including dancers and athletes because there are different types of cellulites so being overweight is only one reason for having the problem. The cellulites that cause the most problems are the hard or solid types because they attach themselves to the muscles and often affect more active persons. The soft cellulites on the other hand are more easily identified because they are closer to the surface of the skin and considerably easier to remove.

For women, who are he most likely candidates for cellulites, their appearance can start from as early as 14 years of age and will gradually get worse as they age Often, cellulites occur because a woman has started taking the contraceptive pill or has just given birth and even people who have suffered from injuries can develop cellulites.

Anti Cellulite Diet...

Improving the circulation with exercise, combined with a healthy diet, will improve the appearance of cellulites and is still thought to be the best way to improve your cellulites condition. Although all types exercise can help, it is the diet that needs to be more specific; one that is detoxifying and contains plenty of fruit and vegetables. Try to eat more wholegrain foods but avoid wherever possible the likes of coffee and soft fizzy drinks.

Although so far unproven, it is considered by some that spicy foods may also help contribute to the formation of cellulites. However, the same cannot be said for smoking and alcohol which should be avoided as both help in the build-up of toxins in the body. Whilst a low fat diet is always preferably for health, reducing the intake of fatty foods helps reduce the enlargement of the cellulites because fat is harder to digest and more difficult to remove from your body.

Although they cannot completely get rid of cellulites, cellulite creams are quite successful in treating and hiding cellulite. The creams that contain alpha-hydroxyl acid improve the elasticity of the skin making the cellulites less obvious but do not actually remove the cellulites. Water therapy is also proving to be effective because it seems to make cellulites become less visible as it removes toxins in the body as well as fat and also aids in proper digestion and blood circulation.
